Michael A. Carl, DDS


Beginning with the establishment of Dr. Robert A. Carl's practice in 1965, the Carl family has practiced dentistry in Lodi for almost 50 years.  Dr. Michael Carl graduated from Northwestern University School of Dentistry and completed his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University.  He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army until joining his father's practice in 1986.  He and his wife Kelly have been married for 38 years and have 5 sons.  Dr. Carl enjoys skiing, biking and spending time with his family.  Dr. Carl is a fellow in the International Dental Implant Association and a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, San Joaquin County Dental Association. Dr. Carl has served as a volunteer at St. Raphael's Dental Clinic and the annual event, Give Kids A Smile and CDA Cares in Stockton.
Dr. Carl has coached sports in Lodi for over 25 years through Lodi Parks and Recreation and the Diocese of Stockton CYO Basketball program.  He served as Vice-President of the San Joaquin Junior Rams Football program and a board member for 5 years.  Additionally, he has coached at various levels of youth football.  Dr. Carl enjoys announcing football at St. Mary's High School along with assisting at the scorer's table during basketball season.
As part of his continuing commitment to community outreach, Dr. Carl and his sons designed and implemented a program, KampKinder Smiles, which provides Kindergarten Oral Health Screenings to children with special needs in the school setting.  KampKinder Smiles was launched in June of 2011 and successfully completed its 8th year in June 2018.
Proudly, Dr. Carl has welcomed his sons, Justin and Jordan, into the dental profession. Justin, a graduate of St. Mary's High School and San Diego State University, received his D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthrur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.  Justin is a LT. Commander in the U.S. Navy and completed a General Practice Residency at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego.  In the summer of 2015 Justin completed his forward deployed tour of duty in Yokosuka, Japan on the USS George Washington.  Justin is now stationed in San Diego, CA. and is completing his 1st year of Oral Surgery Residency.  Jordan, also a graduate of St. Mary's High School and San Diego State University will be graduating from Midwestern Health Sciences University in Glendale, AZ., May 2018 and will receive his DMD.  Jordan was a coordinator for the Dental Pre-Professional Health class at SDSU and was active in his fraternity, Sigma Chi.  Jordan has assisted in his father's office along with participating in the KampKinder Smiles Oral Health Screening Program and Give Kids A Smile. Jordan will be joining the practice in June 1, 2018.

Jordan M. Carl, DMD


 Born and raised in Lodi, Dr. Jordan Carl has been involved in the community from a young age. He attended St. Anne’s Catholic School and grew up participating in CYO basketball, 4-H and pop-warner football. He was a youth sports referree and umpire for the City of Lodi and in 2003, Dr. Jordan Carl joined the San Joaquin Junior Rams football league where he met his future wife, Samantha Langlois, a then cheerleader for the same organization.

Dr. Carl continued his education at St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, California where he graduated with academic honors and received all-area sports honors for his time as a center for the Rams football team. In the Fall of 2009, he began his tenure at San Diego State University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Biology.  Upon graduation from San Diego State, Dr. Jordan Carl returned to Lodi where he worked for the Stockton Unified School District and San Joaquin County Office of Education as a substitute teacher in the department of Special Education and Alternative Education. In 2014, he accepted an offer to attend the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. In addition to his coursework, Dr. Carl participated in various continuing education courses, including a trip to Columbia where he trained in the placement and restoration of dental implants.

Following graduation in 2018, Dr. Carl returned home to Lodi to join with his father to continue to provide a comprehensive program of oral health to the community of Lodi and surrounding areas.  Dr. Jordan Carl and his fiancé, Samantha, will be married in September of 2018 and together with their Golden Retriever, Louie, have established their home in Lodi.  During his free time, Dr. Jordan Carl enjoys water skiing, snowboarding and playing guitar.
